It’s a known fact that footballers these days aren’t shy to splash the cash and show off their wealth. From the latest super-car, to a new house even the latest clothing. Now this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, working hard for your money and having the chance to show off your hard work is something that everyone in the world aspires to do. To a certain extent it’s acceptable but with footballers making it professionally and being paid upwards of £10,000 a week, going from that amount of money that quickly can definitely make a player get ahead of themselves. Most recently James Maddison was ‘targeted’ by the Sun newspaper for wearing a £6,500 Louis Vuitton bagpack which was called ’embarrassing’ by BBC pundit Dan Walker.
The most notable players that like to flaunt their worth are Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Dele Alli who earn £75,000, £200,000 and £100,000 respectively. These three are probably most notorious for splashing the cash. Surprisingly Lingard is the eldest of the 3 but earns the least amount. The three of them aren’t afraid to show off their latest purchases on social media, most of the comments on their Instagram are along the lines of telling them to focus on their career and enjoy the perks in the long run when they retire.
